I have an art obsession. I look forward to painting daily and if I’m not painting I’m thinking of painting and how I will approach new things to try. Keeping life simple and allowing myself the time and space to let the art develop organically is what I strive to do. Not one to stick to a plan I tackle painting surface with joyful energy spurred on my music. Creating art becomes like a dance for me and becomes what I feel in the moment. Maybe a painting will intuitively speak to you. Making those connections is another wonder I get to experience and it continues to bring me joy.
I’ve had the pleasure of showing my work as part of an artists collective in the ByWard Market for many years and in galleries in Canada as we made our moves as a military family. Our postings took us to Yellowknife, NT, London England around my beautiful home province of Ontario. I’ve had the opportunity to participate in a group show at the McMichael Gallery in Kleinburg, Ontario, the One of a Kind Show in Toronto, the Originals in Ottawa, and many others including Trenton, Brighton, Wellington (Sidestreet Gallery), Carp, Manotick, Gananoque, Port Carling (Grimm Gallery), Ottawa (Carlen Gallery), Yellowknife (Down to Earth Gallery and Visual Effects) , in London, England group shows. I’ve had the privilege of being a commissioned artist at Rideau Hall, Ottawa and an exhibitor at the Iceolation Art Gallery in the Snow King’s Castle in Yellowknife. We’ve settled down in Merrickville Ontario, a beautiful village on the Rideau known for it’s artistic community.
