Simply tranquil

Original acrylic and resin on a 24 x 24 cradled wood support

This new painting brings back the serene feeling of standing under the aurora on a still evening and listening to see if you can actually hear the dancing lights in the sky.

I hope to bring this colourful original to the Artisans in the ByWard Market tomorrow. This joyful piece is 24 x 24 inches and painted with acrylics on cradled wood. A high gloss topcoat brings out the colours beautifully.

Good Morning!

This bold bright tree is called “Find the Time” and is the new arrival at Windsor’s Courtyard in Merrickville. It’s an original acrylic and high gloss resin painting on a 48 x 36 cradled wood panel. Check out the shop and courtyard for beautiful gifts and treasures for your home and garden.

When the stars line up…

I absolutely love it when the stars line up and I’m taken away by painting, music and watching it all melt together before my eyes. This work in progress has been a joy!

Getting warmed up for the Tulip Festival

C’mon Spring!

I’m trying to shift gears for spring and feel like it should be warm out already. So I forced the issue a little with this crazy tulip painting. It’s a little all over the place and has the energy of ” I can’t wait for spring”.  This one is a warm up for me, a study to see what works and colour combinations.  Okay, next one should be a little calmer.
